美国人，中国日报社美籍资深记者，纪实作家，社会活动家，大学讲师（兼职）。
在华工作13年，先后担任中国日报社撰稿人、版面编辑、主编、高级记者等职。
16本中英文书籍的作者、合著者和编辑。目前正根据自己的一线经历撰写一本关于中国扶贫奇迹的书籍。
2011年发起了一项旨在帮助玉树受灾儿童和困难家庭的志愿者活动，为残疾儿童募集手术费用，为困难家庭学生提供助学奖学金。
2016年获得中国政府友谊奖，是该奖项最年轻的获奖者之一。
Erik Robert Nilsson is Senior Journalist of China Daily, Documentary Writer, Part-time University Lecturer and Social Activist.
He has been working in China for 13 years, serving as Copywriter, Layout Editor, Chief Editor, Senior Journalist, etc.
He has co-authored, co-edited and edited 16 Chinese and English books. He offered cost of surgery and help to disabled children and scholarships to families that were not able to afford university tuition.
In 2011, he launched a volunteer campaign to help children and families in the disaster area of Yushu. In 2016, he became one of the youngest foreigners ever to win the China Friendship Award.
He is currently writing a book on the miracle of poverty alleviation in China based on his grass-roots experience.
